Three tanks storing hundreds of tonnes of diesel fuel caught fire at around 6:00 a.m. local time in Bryansk, a northern Russian province bordering Ukraine.

According to Russian media, the fire started when a drone dropped explosives into one of the gasoline tanks. No one was hurt during the attack.

Videos captured immediately after the hit revealed two gasoline tanks pouring smoke and flame, with at least one exhibiting evidence of explosion damage, with its metal shell twisted outward.

After daybreak, images captured a huge column of black smoke billowing into the sky.Kyiv has not claimed credit for the attack but is widely thought to be behind dozens of blasts that have targeted facilities supplying Putin's armies in western Russia

Kyiv has not claimed responsibility, but is widely believed to be behind dozens of strikes on installations used to feed Putin’s soldiers in Russia’s western border area, as reported by Russian media.

Three oblasts that border northern Ukraine, Bryansk, Kursk, and Belgorod, have been regularly attacked.

In the Surazhsky area, a fire has broken out at oil storage tanks. Governor Alexander Bogomaz stated on social media that fire and rescue crews were in route.

Bogomaz stated that the fire consumed an area of 1,800 square metres (19,000 square feet) and that more than 80 personnel worked to extinguish it.

He stated that no reports of injuries have been received.

Later, TASS, citing emergency personnel, claimed that the fire had spread to an area of 4,000 square meters.

In October, Russia reported that an oil store in Belgorod, which also borders Ukraine, was on fire after being bombarded, soon after complaining about an uptick in artillery and missile assaults against its territory.
