On Thursday morning, March 9, a tragic crash involving three vehicles occurred on the N4 toll road between Vosman and Emalahleni, resulting in the deaths of two learners.
Several other learners sustained injuries ranging from mild to moderate.
According to reports, the collision happened when two mini-bus taxis and an articulated truck collided with each other.
One of the mini-busses allegedly stopped or slowed down on the road while the truck was already too close, causing the truck to hit the taxi from behind.
As a result, the taxi collided with the minibus that was in front of it. All three vehicles were travelling in the same direction.
The injured passengers received medical attention at nearby health facilities.
Although the cause of the crash is not yet known, an investigation is already underway to determine the circumstances that led to the accident.
