Two Alabama teenagers have been arrested and charged with murder in connection with a shooting that occurred at a “Sweet 16” birthday party.

The incident resulted in four fatalities and 32 injuries.

According to Sergeant Jeremy Burkett of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, the suspects, Ty Reik McCullough, 17, and Travis McCullough, 16, were charged with four counts of reckless murder.

The shooting occurred on Saturday at the Mahogany Masterpiece Dance Studio in Dadeville, Alabama, a community of about 3,200 residents located 50 miles northeast of Montgomery.

Burkett provided no further details about the investigation or a possible motive for the shooting.

It is not clear if the suspects have retained attorneys who could comment on their behalf.

The shooting has shocked the community, and local authorities have expressed condolences to the families of the victims.

Governor Kay Ivey issued a statement on Twitter expressing her condolences and calling for an end to gun violence.

“Sadden to hear about last night’s shooting in Dadeville.

My heart goes out to those impacted by this tragedy.

Let’s put an end to this senseless violence,” she tweeted.

It is yet another example of gun violence in America, and it highlights the urgent need for tighter gun control measures to prevent such tragic incidents from happening again.

The incident also raises questions about how minors are able to access guns and the need for better education on responsible gun ownership.
