Advocate Malelesela Teffo, the former defense attorney in the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial, was been praised by Twitter users for ‘disclosing’ the second docket implicating the goalkeeper’s then-girlfriend Kelly Khumalo.
According to reports, Adv Teffo was one of the first people with access to the docket (Cas 375/01/2019) from the defense. He then presented it to the North Gauteng High Court, where the trial is taking place.
As previously reported, Meyiwa was shot in the home of Kelly Khumalo’s mother in Vosloorus, Ekurhuleni, and according to the second docket, everyone in the house planned a scheme to claim that armed robbers had broken in and shot Meyiwa. Maggie Phiri, a neighbor, allegedly cleaned up the crime scene before the police arrived.
At the commencement of the trial, many South Africans believed that Adv. Teffo was on the right track and that the Meyiwa family would finally receive justice. However, as time passed, it was widely believed that his “celebrity” on social media and media attention affected him, and he began to make the trial about himself.
Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) have recently labeled Adv Teffo as a guy with an uncontrolled urge to be in the spotlight.
According to the Red Berets, Teffo is a disgrace to the legal profession since he exploited the tragedy of the late Senzo Meyiwa to advance his own reputation.
Malesela Teffo would not be of interest to the public or the media if it weren’t for Senzo Meyiwa’s never-ending case. Since he has been removed from this process, he is pursuing alternative means of remaining a matter of conversation.”

Twitter users have praised the attorney for his part in informing the court about the second docket that the Meyiwa murder trial continues to revolve around.
