Turkish radio DJ’s 43-year-old corpse is recovered in woods

After he and his girlfriend were abducted, the corpse of a Turkish DJ who frequented the same areas as Mel B and 50 cent was discovered in the woods.

Around 10.30 p.m. on Thursday, Koray Alpergin, 43, and a lady, 33, are said to have been coerced into a white van outside of their home in Enfield, north London.

Owner of the London radio station Bizim FM, Mr. Alpergin was discovered at 11.55 a.m. on Saturday near the Oakwood Hill Industrial Estate in Loughton, Essex, and was declared dead there.

Police added in a statement that they had found the lady, who is supposedly his girlfriend, and she is in good physical condition.

Four individuals have been detained in relation to the DJ’s murder.

According to the Metropolitan Police, a 55-year-old man was detained after being seized today on suspicion of murder in Tottenham, in north London.

He is the fourth person to be detained in connection with the death of Koray Alpergin, who police think was coerced into a white van together with a 33-year-old lady on Thursday night outside of their home in Enfield, north London. The incident occurred about 10.30 p.m.

The DJ’s girlfriend was in town from Turkey, according to the Sun. After being freed by her captors, she is currently getting specialized care from Met Police officers.

Mel B and American rapper 50 cent were among the prominent musicians that Mr. Alpergin met while on his Instagram world tour.

“Even though our inquiry is still in its very early stages, I am leaning toward the theory that Koray may have known his captors and that this was not a random act.

“I can reassure the people of Enfield and Essex that we are doing everything possible to comprehend the sequence of events and bring those accountable to justice,” he said.

After the news of the radio DJ’s sudden passing broke, tributes poured in. The proprietor of the Bizin FM radio station was memorialized on social media with the phrase, “R.I.P. Koray Bizim.”
