In The Wife, Motsoaledi Setumo, formerly of The Queen, is both conniving and humorous as Naledi’s older sister Tshedi Montsho.

In The Wife, despite the fact that Motsoaledi Setumo’s character Tshedi Montsho is hell-bent on ruining the fan-favorite Naledi (Gaisang Noge), fans cannot help but love her.
In an interview with Sowetan, Setumo, who joined the third season of the Showmax serial, indicated that viewers will both love and detest her character.
“Because I’ve never played Tshedi before, I can confidently predict that the audience will have a love-hate relationship with her.”
Setumo’s diabolical character attempted to sabotage her sister Naledi’s lobola negotiations in this week’s (February 9) episode by exposing to Sefako’s (Stoan Seate) family that she has a sex tape with her ex-boyfriend Qhawe (Kwenzo Ngcobo).
When her father Kgosi (Sello Motloung) ordered the guards to lock her in her room, she escaped and made another scene, showing that she despises her sister for always getting her way.
Tshedi is envious of her younger sister since she is her father’s favorite daughter and is next in line to be chief instead of Tshedi.
