Trump’s backing gives Ghislaine Maxwell “huge boost” during sex offences jail term

In a recent interview given from behind bars, Ghislaine Maxwell praised guys like Prince Andrew and the former US President Donald Trump.

While incarcerated at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York, as well as the Federal Correctional Institute in Tallahassee, Florida, Maxwell spoke to filmmaker Daphne Barak and had the interview published in the Mail on Sunday. She reflected

on life after and before her sex trafficking conviction and mentioned people like Trump, Jeffrey Epstein, and Prince Andrew. After being detained, Maxwell told the publication that she was touched by Trump’s well wishes.

Maxwell told the Mail, “I was quite pleased that he would remember me and that he would wish me well. And his memories of me moved me deeply.

Maxwell was given a 20-year jail term in June of this year for her part in the sexually trafficking young girls with accomplice and convicted sex predator Jeffrey Epstein, and she added that his remarks provided her a “huge boost.” Attorneys for Maxwell have appealed her conviction.

When Maxwell was arrested in July 2020, Trump said that he didn’t know the circumstances of her case but insisted that he knew her.

Trump reportedly said, “I haven’t actually been watching it very closely,” as reported by the New York Times. Simply said, “I simply wish her well.”

Since I resided in Palm Beach and I believe they did as well, I’ve had countless encounters with her over the years, Trump said. But whatever happens, I wish her the best.

Trump also reportedly questioned if Maxwell told investigators anything about him when she was arrested, according to the latest book by New York Times writer Maggie Haberman.

Prince Andrew of the British Royal family was also praised by Maxwell in the same interview with the Mail, who referred to him as a “close friend.”

Virginia Giuffre filed a lawsuit against Andrew in August of last year, claiming that Maxwell and Epstein compelled her to be there when she was 17 and that Andrew had sexually assaulted her there. Before coming to a settlement with Giuffre, Andrew was obliged to renounce his royal title and responsibilities and was forced to deny the claims in the lawsuit.

Maxwell told the Mail that Andrew is “paying such a price” for his affiliation with Epstein and expressed his concern for him by saying, “I care for him, and I feel so horrible for him.” The statement Maxwell made during her trial that meeting Epstein was “the worst mistake of my life” was also made by Maxwell.
