Trump’s advantage against DeSantis grows by 30-40 points following the Mar-a-Lago raid

After the raid at his Mar-a-Lago residence, Donald Trump’s popularity has increased in the polls, to the detriment of a candidate who is widely seen as one of his chief competitors in 2024.

A Politico/Morning Consult survey found that Trump’s percentage of possible Republican primary votes increased from 53 percent in mid-July to 57 percent on August 10.

This is coupled with a six-point decline for his most formidable prospective opponent, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who fell from 23 percent to 17 percent in the two surveys.

These figures offer Trump a 10-point increase and a 40-point advantage in a hypothetical primary. Neither guy has pledged to running for president in 2024.

The survey was taken on Wednesday, August 10, following the raid on the former president’s mansion but before the search warrant was unsealed.

The warrant indicated that at least eleven sets of secret papers were removed from Trump’s Florida estate by the FBI. The week-long presence of the president’s most fervent supporters outside Mar-a-Lago continued on Sunday at Trump’s Bedminster, New Jersey golf club.

Trump supporters with posters like ‘SAVE AMERICA’ and ‘YOU ATTACKED THE WRONG PRESIDENT’ were out on the streets around the club displaying their loyalty.

Trump asked that the FBI provide to him any attorney-client materials found during Monday’s search at Mar-a-Lago.

“Oh, man! It has just come to light that the FBI, during its now-famous search on Mar-a-Lago, stole boxes of protected ‘attorney-client’ and ‘executive’ data, which they were aware they were not authorized to collect, the former president bemoaned on Truth Social, citing a Fox News story.

He said that the FBI should take his post on the alternative social networking site as an official request for the return of the papers to his Palm Beach house.

Trump wrote on Sunday, “By copy of this TRUTH, I respectfully request that these papers be returned immediately to the place from which they were stolen.” Thank you!’Supporters of former President of the United States, Donald J. According to The New York Times, before Attorney General Merrick Garland made his first public remark on the raid on Thursday, a source close to Trump contacted a Justice Department official to relay a message from the former president.

“The nation is on fire. Trump sought to convey the idea, ‘What can I do to lower the heat?’, according to a source familiar with the interaction.

Fox News was told by sources with knowledge of the inquiry into the records Trump removed from the White House before he left office that the former president’s staff was notified that numerous documents recovered during the search included attorney-client privilege material. However, the inquiry has sparked a flurry of rumors that he would soon declare a 2024 presidential bid, which has thrilled his followers but alarmed party officials and donors who fear he will derail their prospects of retaking the House and Senate in November’s midterm elections.

Eric Levine, a lawyer and prominent Republican fundraiser, said, “I believe he is running.” The only issue is whether he will make an announcement before the midterm elections, which would be disastrous.

Multiple party sources expressed concern to DailyMail.com that an early declaration would shift funds from candidates to Trump’s war chest.

And it would transform the midterm elections from a winnable referendum on Joe Biden’s leadership – its economic difficulties and foreign policy blunders – into a beauty contest between Donald Trump and Joe Biden.

After midnight on Tuesday, Trump sent a campaign-style video on his Truth Social platform, seizing the initiative. He describes the United States as “a country in decline” and criticizes Biden before concluding with the motto, “The best is yet to come.”

In addition, he has increased the quantity of fundraising letters sent to his mailing list.

“Mar-a-Lago was raided,” claimed a Wednesday message. “The far-left is corrupt.”

We must restore the people’s authority.
