Trump wants Access Hollywood concealed in E Jean Carroll’s civil rape case

In his future civil rape trial, Donald Trump’s attorneys seek to prevent jurors from learning about the notorious “grab ’em by the p*ssy” audio, in which the former president brags about how celebrity may sexually assault women.

Late on Thursday, Alina Habba and Michael Madaio, lawyers for Trump, submitted documents to a federal court in Manhattan.

They want to prevent the April trial from mentioning the 2005 recorded encounter or the tape itself.

In the recording, he said that he sometimes simply starts kissing attractive ladies when he sees them. It acts as a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even hold off.

They let you to do it when you are a celebrity. Everything is possible; just take them by the p*ssy.

The longstanding advice writer E. Jean Carroll’s allegations are what sparked the trial.

Trump wants to ban infamous Access Hollywood tape from E Jean Carroll civil rape trial

She claims that in the middle of the 1990s, Trump sexually abused her in a changing room at Manhattan’s Bergdorf Goodman department store. Trump refutes her claims.

According to the lawyers, the audio is “irrelevant and extremely damaging” and might be unfairly utilized to lead jurors to believe that Trump had a history of sexual assault and so must have raped Carroll.

Also, they requested a ban on any mentions of Trump’s campaign speeches as well as the suppression of testimony from two women who have accused him of sexual misconduct.

When New York State temporarily amended the law to let adult rape victims to sue their abusers even if the crimes took place decades ago, Carroll, 79, filed a lawsuit against Trump in November.

On April 25, a trial is scheduled, and both Trump and Carroll are anticipated to give testimony.

In her 2019 biography, “What Do We Need Men For?”, Carroll, a former Elle magazine journalist, claimed Donald Trump sexually assaulted her in the Bergdorf Goodman dressing room in late 1995 or early 1996.

Trump has publicly rejected it, sometimes furiously.

Carroll’s assertions were scorned by Trump in a deposition taken in October for the forthcoming trial, who stated: “Physically she’s not my style.”

Despite being included in a 1987 picture with Carroll’s then-husband and Trump’s first wife Ivana Trump, who passed away last year, Trump has denied knowing Carroll.

He was allegedly given the image in October 2022, which is why he confused Carroll with Marla Maples, his second wife.

Roberta Kaplan, Carroll’s attorney, presented him with the allegations that twenty other women had brought against him and questioned if any of them were accurate.

“I’d say.” I don’t see any, really. Trump said, “I mean, you haven’t showed me anything,” according to the transcript.

His responses could make the pornographic remarks he made on the “Access Hollywood” video, which were made public only a few weeks before he won the November 2016 presidential election, more relevant.

He then apologized, calling the remarks “locker room banter” recorded on a hot mic.

In parts from his deposition released late on Thursday, Trump said that it has generally been true “for the past million years” that famous people may pursue beautiful women.

He added, “Fortunately or unfortunately.”

And you think of yourself as a star? Kaplan enquired.

Trump said, “I guess you can say that, absolutely.”

Carroll claimed in her complaint that she met Trump by accident and that their chance meeting turned into fun banter when he requested her to assist him in choosing lingerie for a friend.

She said that after being cajoled into donning some intimate apparel, they entered the changing room where Trump got aggressive and sexually assaulted her.

On Friday, her attorney opted not to comment.
