Abigail Browne, a courier from Croydon, felt immense relief as she was reunited with her best friend, Kevin, a rottweiler that had been taken in broad daylight while waiting outside a shop.
Kevin, who typically accompanies Ms. Browne to work, was missing for a nerve-racking day before being recovered.

The following day, in the late morning hours, Browne finally received the call she had been anxiously awaiting.
Kevin had been found by officers of the City of London Police, a miraculous find just around the corner from where he was taken.
Browne was overwhelmed with relief, confessing to having cried on the phone upon receiving the good news.

The arrest of a suspect was facilitated by CCTV footage, which showed two men in the vicinity of where Kevin had disappeared.
