Prepare to return to the museum!
Night at the Museum comes back, and this time it’s animated, some ten years after its last release. The new movie Night at the Museum: Kahmunuar Rises Again is available on Disney+. And based on the preview, it appears to be a lot of fun.
Like the previous three films, Shawn Levy is still engaged, but only as a producer. Matt Danner, an animator whose credits include The Loud House and Johnny Test, will serve as the show’s director. Danner previously worked as the director and showrunner for the Disney XD series Legend of the Three Caballeros. Ray DeLaurentis and William Schiftin, who previously collaborated on The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild, are among the authors.

What the Night at the Museum: Kahmunrah Rises Again Trailer Taught Us
The latest Night at the Museum film’s teaser depicts a fresh night guard standing watch before being frightened away by dinosaurs and the museum coming to life. As soon as he exits the building, the objects, including Teddy Roosevelt, applaud as the genuine night guard Larry Daley (formerly portrayed by Ben Stiller and now Zachary Levi) enters. The artifacts indicate that his clumsy adolescent son, Nick, would make an excellent replacement for him while he is away for the summer. The trailer then focuses on Nick’s exploits throughout the museum, including an encounter with Kahmunrah, the villainous relic from the second film Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian. On Disney Plus, the film’s summary reads:
Nick Daley is following in his father’s footsteps as a night watchman at the American Museum of Natural History. He is familiar with the museum’s old tablet, which brings everything to life as the sun sets. However, when the insane monarch Kahmunrah escapes, Nick must preserve the museum for good.”
Cast of Night at the Museum: Kahmunruh Arises Once More:
Ben Stiller is not repeating his role as Larry Daley, and the late Robin Williams cannot play Teddy Roosevelt. Still, the cast is rather good, with Zachary Levi as Larry (Tangled), Joshua Bassett as Nick (High School Musical: The Musical: The Series), and Reno 911’s Thomas Lennon as Teddy. Other actors include Gillian Jacobs of Community, Bowen Yang of Saturday Night Live, and Steve Zahn of White Lotus.

On December 9, the new Night at the Museum film will be available for viewing on Disney+. Night at the Museum, Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian, and Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb are all currently available to stream on Disney Plus.
