Following Hinkley Point A and B, the Hinkley Point C nuclear power facility is now being constructed.

Hinkley Point C is an environmentally contentious project, with some environmentalists arguing that the government should instead subsidize renewable fuels.

Neither the circumstances leading up to the occurrence nor the nature of the incident itself are known at this time.

Avon and Somerset Police said that emergency services were dispatched to Hinkley Point C at approximately 8.30 a.m. in response to a report that a man had been wounded by machinery.
