As crime remains a major issue in the Big Apple, a 21-year-old visitor from St. Louis was tricked and then raped by a guy volunteering to aid her at a New York City subway station near Times Square.

At first, the guy started talking to her and offered to tour her around the station, which connects to numerous lines of the New York City subway.

According to the NYPD, he led her to the end of a platform next to a tunnel after taking her to a few stops before halting at an ending spot and raping her there.

Following the incident, the 21-year-old victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital for treatment. It’s unknown how she’s doing.

He was last seen wearing burgundy and gold shorts, as well as black and white Crocs.

This comes as crime continues to be a huge problem in the Big Apple under new Mayor Eric Adams, who ran on a promise to stop rising crime.

Overall crime is up over 35 percent from this point in 2021, with only murders and shootings down from last year.

Subway crime has been a particular problem for New York City, the police and the MTA.

Hammer attacks, feces smearing, fatal shovings and a smoke bomb-mass shooting have become risks for those traversing the trains in New York.

On January 15, Deloitte executive Michelle Go was on the N/Q/R/W platform at West 42nd Street and Broadway – very close to the station where the 21-year-old was attacked – at around 9.40am on Saturday when Simon shoved her from behind with both hands while she looked down at her phone, authorities said.

Go was struck by a train and pronounced dead at the scene by EMS personnel. Simon fled the scene and turned himself in to police soon after the attack.
