In a recent viral video, Jasmine Darya remarked, “OK, we have to talk about Selena Gomez’s makeup routine real quick because I have never seen anyone do any of this stuff that she’s doing. I have to wonder if she’s on another level.”
Darya pointed out that Gomez, 30, starts by washing her face with La Mer’s $500 Concentrate serum and said that the majority of the items she used were gifts.

After using the Multi-Active Toner ($39) from Dermologica with reusable Face Halo pads ($22), which the TikToker deemed “normal” and “better for the environment,” Gomez began applying a colored under-eye cream in an unusual act just before night.

Last but not least, Gomez “so smartly” removed her eye makeup with a Beauty Blender ($20).
“This was the final occurrence that I felt was somewhat unusual. She applies the Micellar Bioderma whatever water to a Beauty Blender and removes her eye makeup,” she said. “That is actually really smart, but I have never seen anyone do that.”
“I feel like if you have lash extensions or something where you can’t wipe your eye, because it looked like she was just going around it, but then I’ve never seen anyone do that, and I think it’s so interesting,” the social media personality continued.
Darya also told her viewers that she wasn’t trying to be “mean” or “critical” or “hating on” Gomez; rather, she was merely “stunned at this routine.”
“I’m not sure. She posted, writing in the caption, “She’s lowkey genius,” and said, “I know I sound like a psycho, but I thought her routine was really crazy, full of things I’ve never seen before, and she’s ahead of her time.”
