Selena Gomez is a longtime part of Taylor Swift’s illustrious network of friends, but Gomez has stated that Swift is her “sole buddy” in the entertainment world.
Alex Morris of Rolling Stone conducted a Thursday interview in which Gomez discussed her career in the entertainment world. “Selena Gomez: My Mind & I,” a new documentary about the singer’s mental health struggle since 2016, was also launched on Friday.
Gomez told Rolling Stone that as she grew older, she battled to discover her sound and appeal to her fans. The former Disney star also revealed that she had few famous pals with whom she could discuss her problems.
“Never did I fit in with a hip circle of celebrity girls. My only actual friend in the industry is Taylor [Swift], so I recall feeling out of place. I sensed that everyone around me was having rich lives. I held this position and was extremely content, but… was I? Do these material possessions bring me happiness?” “I just didn’t like who I was because I didn’t know who I was,” she added.

Swift and Gomez met in 2005. In 2017, Gomez disclosed to KIIS FM UK that they were both dating members of The Jonas Brothers at the time and “really clicked.”
In recent weeks, the buddies have lavished each other with compliments. According to Billboard, Gomez stated on her new SiriusXM Radio channel on Thursday that Swift is “the most inspiring musician for me.”
“Not because she is my friend, but because she is an artist who can fluidly move into so many other genres, which I much appreciate. And that’s so uncommon! “She stated, “I adore her method and applaud all of her accomplishments. Certainly, she has inspired me.”
Swift, who released her tenth studio album “Midnights” on October 21, also supported Gomez and her latest film. In a Friday Instagram story, the singer released the “My Mind & Me” trailer and a heartfelt message to the “Only Murders in the Building” actress.
