Selena Gomez is leaving social media — for now at least

Selena Gomez, a former Disney Channel star who recently shared sultry photos, commented on a resurfaced video of Hailey Bieber, and weighed in on internet drama, has announced she is taking a break from social media due to the “silly” drama with the founder of Rhode Skin.

Gomez, who surpassed Kylie Jenner as the most followed woman on Instagram, said in a TikTok live on Thursday that she’s too old for this and just needs a break from everything.

This isn’t the first time the “Same Old Love” singer has taken a break from social media, citing her mental health in the past. Her announcement came after she defended her friend Taylor Swift when a clip resurfaced on TikTok appearing to show Hailey Bieber throwing shade at the “All Too Well” chart-topper.

Despite years of a rumored feud between Gomez and Bieber, the model said she has no bad blood with her husband’s ex-girlfriend.
