Sunday morning, January 15, 2023, a light aircraft carrying three individuals crashed in Nasrec, Gauteng, South Africa.

Emergency services report that Emer-G-Med paramedics and many other emergency services arrived to the incident.

Kyle van Reenen, a representative for Emer-G-Med, stated that according to air traffic control, there were only three persons on board, and they all perished.

“The South African Police Service (SAPS) is present and, in conjunction with Civil Aviation Authorities, will conduct the necessary investigation,” stated van Reenen.

In a separate tragedy that sent shockwaves, five passengers aboard a crashed SAPS aircraft at Rand Airport in Gauteng were killed.

According to sources on the scene, a second person had significant injuries and was flown to a neighboring hospital.

Tuesday afternoon, a SAPS Pilatus PC-6/B2-H4 Turbo Porter crashed shortly after taking off from Rand Airport.
