Three Dutch commandos were shot in Indianapolis’ nightlife district

Around 3:30 am on Saturday, three Dutch commandos were wounded in a shooting in Indianapolis’ nightlife area.

According to a spokeswoman for the Dutch Ministry of Defense who was speaking to NL Times, at least two of the troops are in severe condition as a result of the incident.

According to the NL Times article, there was conflict before the incident.

The gunfire occurred in front of the hotel where the commandos are staying, the ministry spokeswoman said. The event took place while the military personnel were off duty.

The three were in Indiana as part of a training programme and are Dutch Commando Corps members. The gang was lodged at a neighbourhood Hampton Inn.

According to Fox59, when police arrived at the Hampton Inn about 3:30 am, they discovered the three injured guys laying outside the building.

Police have several witnesses, according to the station, but no arrests have been made. The hotel was not the scene of the shooting.

At the junction of Meridian and Maryland streets, in the 100 block of South Meridian Street, is the hotel where the shooting took place.

There is no public danger, according to Indiana’s authorities, who do not think the shooting was random.
