Those flashed in error by faulty speed camera would not be ticketed

A speed camera on Mosley Common Road near Boothstown in Manchester has been incorrectly flashing drivers, including some that were stationary, on a busy stretch of road, according to Manchester Evening News.

Drivers reported being flashed multiple times by the camera, but Transport for Greater Manchester confirmed the camera had now been fixed and those flashed in error would not be ticketed.

Safer Roads Greater Manchester, which maintains speed cameras in the area, said such faults occurred occasionally, but were quickly resolved, and images were manually checked before any offence was issued.
