CCTV footage reveals the moment a hapless man’s legs got trapped in a faulty lift

CCTV footage caught the moment a hapless man was left his legs trapped (pictured) after a faulty lift caused him to trip.

CCTV footage captured the horrifying moment a helpless man’s legs were left hanging in the air after becoming locked in a malfunctioning elevator’s doors.

The event, in which a 55-year-old man narrowly avoided having his feet amputated, took place in Malaysia’s George Town on the evening of June 17–18.

The footage from inside the lift shows how the tragedy occurred, while photographs depict the cramped and agonizing position the man’s was locked in
The elevator’s doors are shown opening in the video, and before the man even gets inside, it has already begun to ascent.

The man is utterly taken off guard by this glitch and falls down right away.

His body is inside the lift, and when he hits the ground, his legs hang out the open door.
Fortunately, the lift then abruptly stops, presumably as a result of a safety device activating when the doors didn’t close correctly.

But the man’s feet were still left hanging over the wall’s bay in what appeared to be an extremely uncomfortable posture.

Rescuers were sent to the location to release the stranded guy after contacting the Jalan Perak Fire and Rescue Department.

He was eventually extricated from the elevator and sent to the hospital to receive care for what appeared to be bloody feet.
