Thoko Didiza, the minister of agriculture, land reform, and rural development, is in Berlin, Germany, for the international ministerial conference on world food security.

The conference, which ends on June 25, will bring together ministers from the G7 and the champions’ group, as well as from important donor nations and the most vulnerable and affected nations, with important players from the UN systems, philanthropists, and civil society to discuss coordinated action for food security.

In order to address the food security problem, the conference will collectively assess current efforts in the areas of humanitarian aid, trade, logistics, and collaboration on sustainable agriculture, sustainable production, and food systems, as well as the realization of the right to food.
