Cate Blanchett has already received two Academy Awards and a total of seven nominations. Now, as a result of her performance in Tár, she will surely receive her ninth nomination when they are revealed on Tuesday.
Blanchett is also the current favorite to win her third Academy Award on March 12 for her part in the film, which will now premiere on Peacock on January 27.

The film has been well-received by critics, with a 90% Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes as of this writing. Blanchett received the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama for Tár, which also became the eighth picture in history to win the Best Picture prizes from the New York Film Critics Circle, the Los Angeles Film Critics Association, and the National Society of Film Critics.
