There is a bulldozer with the word “RUN” spray-painted on it, a vehicle accident, someone off-camera pleading for this to end, and a lot of punching from Joel.
At the conclusion of the teaser, Joel tells Ellie, “We’ll get through this.”
“I am aware,” Ellie replies.
Want a sneak peek at what’s to come? These encounters in The Last of Us took place in Pittsburgh, not Kansas City. However, they are still anticipated to be a considerable obstacle. The city in Pennsylvania formerly housed a quarantine zone until Hunters, an overwhelmingly hostile group of survivors, overcame the military and appropriated the area as their own. Joel and Ellie are thrust into a conflict that is not theirs and must fight their way through the mayhem.

Kathleen first appears at 0:31. Melanie Lynskey has finally been spotted. Kathleen, a character created specifically for the series, is the leader of the Kansas City revolutionary gang. She barely appears once in the teaser, but during her brief appearance she demands, “Where is he?” Ominous. Be cautious of her.
0:33 – A Common Fight: This is a humorous Easter egg. When Joel sprints between two buildings, it evokes the earliest combat scenes in Pittsburgh.
