The first group of travellers to the Holy Lands of Israel and the Kingdom of Jordan have been instructed by the First Lady of Lagos State, Dr. (Mrs.) Claudiana Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, to behave properly and pray for Lagos and Nigeria while participating in the spiritual exercise.

During the Thanksgiving service conducted on Sunday, July 10, 2022, at The Jerash Hall of The Regency Hotel in Amman, Jordan, Dr. Sanwo-Olu offered the counsel.

“You are The Chosen Ones, who are meant for signs and miracles as you intercede for the country in the Holy Land,” the First Lady stated after joining the service via zoom.

Bishop Stephen Adegbite, the chairman of the Lagos State Chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), thanked Dr. (Mrs.) Sanwo-Olu for her continued support of the State’s pilgrimage and prayed for the success of the approaching general elections in Lagos State and throughout Nigeria.

In his sermon, Rev. Reuben Idowu Ibitoye, the executive secretary of the Kwara State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board, emphasized the importance of pilgrims turning to God for all of their needs.

The first group of travellers to Israel had earlier in the day visited Gadara, where Jesus treated the demoniac, Elijah’s Cave, and Jacob’s River.
