The alleged killers of a couple in Vanderbijlpark will appear in court

Suspected killers of a severely pregnant Nokuphila Dladla, 29, and her girlfriend, Kiwiet Makangeni Mokoena, 35, have been detained in Heidelberg.

The pair was reported missing after they were last seen on December 14 at their home in Vanderbijlpark, Vaal. Friday, their remains were found in an open field in Heidelberg.

Lieutenant-Colonel Mavela Masondo, a police spokesperson, stated that among those arrested is an ex-girlfriend.

The accused, aged 30 to 32, might face additional accusations, including three counts of murder, kidnapping, and home invasion.

Multiple police units, including Crime Intelligence, the Hawks, the Gauteng Provincial Investigation Unit, Sedibeng K9, SAPS Vanderbijlpark, and SAPS Heidelberg, collaborated to make the arrests.

On Wednesday, the suspects are scheduled to appear before the Heidelberg Magistrate’s Court.
