A member of the King’s Guard has received criticism after releasing a video of himself “staring at a duck” while on duty.

The video, which has been viewed thousands of times on TikTok, purports to show him lingering at Windsor Castle while on duty for the Royal Family.

The man can be heard saying, “I am currently standing in front of Windsor Castle.”

I am responsible for protecting the Royal Family. Currently, I am observing two ducks. Do I care? No.’

The video generated a flurry of responses on TikTok, with one user, Calum, posting: “How to make oneself incredibly unpopular at work really quickly.”

And Ray Poole said, “Please stay current on your career.”

Another replied, “If it’s true, this is his final day on the job.”

The King hosted his first Christmas dinner as monarch for the entire Royal Family at Windsor Castle.

A royal guard on duty at Windsor Castle, where the King celebrated his first family Christmas dinner as monarch a week ago, captured the footage.

This year’s event was the largest family reunion since the Queen’s death in September, and it was the first time the traditional gathering has occurred since the Covid-19 pandemic in 2019.

Dozens of royals attended, with the Queen Consort and Earl and Countess of Wessex among the first to arrive. However, Prince Harry and Meghan, along with their children Archie and Lilibet, remained in the United States.

Traditionally, the turkey-and-trimmings supper is held at Buckingham Palace on the Wednesday before Christmas, just before the monarch departs for Sandringham for the holiday season.

The Queen Consort appeared tranquil as she was taken into Windsor Castle today, wearing a padded blue jacket to keep warm in advance of the annual Christmas supper.

In contrast to tradition, the celebration was held in Windsor Castle this year.

The first person to arrive at Windsor this afternoon was King Charles himself, who arrived in a car. He teamed a baby blue tie with a navy blue suit for the occasion.

In the meantime, the Queen Consort arrived at the castle grounds in a carriage looking serene.

She wore a navy quilted jacket with a blue velvet blouse underneath to keep warm.

This afternoon, King Charles hosted his first Christmas meal as king for the entire royal family at Windsor Castle.

Princess Anne sported a pair of dark shades as her husband Tim Laurence drove her into the event.

Today, Mike Tindall, his wife Zara, and their children are seen leaving Windsor Castle.

Zara was photographed wearing a blue and gold patterned dress by ME+EM that was estimated to have cost £250.

Prince and Princess Michael of Kent leave Windsor Castle while seated side by side.

Prince Edward drove his wife, Sophie Wessex, and their daughter, Lady Louise Windsor, into the Windsor Castle grounds.

The Countess and Lady Louise sat next to one another in the car’s back seat.

And while the Countess donned a brown coat for the event, Lady Louise appeared to be wearing a bright pink flowery shirt.

The modest 19-year-old, who is frequently spotted wearing country casuals or prim dresses, spent the majority of her upbringing out of the spotlight and recently enrolled at St. Andrew’s University.
