India’s Virat Kohli said on Monday that someone had broken into his hotel room in Perth and shared videos of his clothing and things online as the result of a “extreme breach of privacy.”
The former India captain demanded that his privacy be respected after expressing his outrage at the “fans’” behavior.
I’ve always loved it, added Kohli, “I realize that fans become really delighted and enthusiastic seeing their favorite players and get eager to meet them.”
But this video right here is disgusting, and it’s given me serious privacy concerns. Where can I truly expect any personal space if I can’t even have it in my hotel room?
“This level of fanaticism and complete breach of privacy is not acceptable to me. Do not use individuals as a commodity for amusement; rather, respect their right to privacy.
The hotel has been contacted by Reuters for comment.
The footage, which shows Kohli’s baggage, wardrobe, restroom, and clothing, was described as “crazy” and “absolutely inappropriate” by Australian batter David Warner.
