Sydney man arrested for Carnes Hills Marketplace jewellery shop armed robbery

After a gun was discharged during an alleged jewelry theft in front of astonished spectators, one man has been caught and a motorbike rider is on the run.

Around 4.45 pm on Monday, emergency services were summoned to a jewelry shop in Sydney’s southwest after hearing claims of an armed robbery.

Two mans reportedly entered the business, broke the glass display cabinets, fired a pistol, and then left with the stolen jewelry, according to reports to the police.

Officers were called to a motorbike parked outside the mall, and in tense circumstances, they tried to apprehend a man passenger while the rider reportedly left the scene.

A frenzied quest is now being conducted to find the eluded motorbike rider.

There are no lingering dangers to the public’s safety, and nobody was hurt in the event.

Police reportedly found a handgun and jewelry on the man after he was taken into custody.

While conducting astonished employee and customer interviews, police have roped off the jewelry store.

“He erupted at the jewelry shop.” And after that, he entered, fled outside, stole a few items from the front plate, but from what I could see, he then walked outside, got on his bike, and then left,’ a witness told Nine News.

Calling Crime Stoppers is strongly advised for anybody who may have information or video from a mobile device.
