Three passengers were injured when a firetruck collided with a light rail vehicle, forcing the tram to derail.

Monday’s accident occurred at the intersection of Pitt Street and Eddy Avenue in Sydney’s Haymarket neighborhood.

In a statement, Fire and Rescue NSW stated, ‘As a result of the collision, both roads are closed due to the derailment of the light rail.’

Three of the four passengers had minor injuries. A NSW Ambulance crew has arrived.
