As a slow march of 45 activists took place, one girl was seen gesturing in frustration while other students whizzed past on hired bicycles.

Tensions Rise as Bystanders and a Dog Interrupt the March

In Stratford Broadway, the scene became increasingly tense as a bystander forcefully snatched Just Stop Oil branded posters out of an activist’s hands.

Another individual, accompanied by a large black dog, attempted to navigate through the group of women activists, causing a disruption as he tried to bring his pet into the center of the protest.

Displeasure Expressed by a Traffic Worker and Police Intervention

Amidst the slow march, a refuse collector at the head of a queue of traffic expressed his dissatisfaction with the act of civil defiance, referring to the activists as “idiots” and urging them to get to work.

At 8:45 am, the Metropolitan Police announced via Twitter that Section 12 orders were enforced at Cam Road and Broadway, resulting in the prompt clearance of the roads within three minutes.

Shortly after, officers responded to another slow march protest on Old Brompton Road in Kensington & Chelsea.
