Stellenbosch ready to surprise Kaizer Chiefs in Kwinika chase

Kaizer Chiefs’ widely reported target Zitha Kwinika might not move to Naturena yet. It is believed that his club Stellenbosch FC have other ideas.

KAIZER CHIEFS TO QUIT ZITHA KWINIKA CHASE?

According to this new report, Stellenbosch have a one-year option to extend the 26-year-old’s contract.

Stellies therefore have the freedom to exercise the clause or open the door for Kwinika to leave on a free transfer to Amakhosi.

“Stellenbosch intend of triggering the one-year option the club has on their skipper Zitha Kwinioka, meaning that his biggest suitors in the DStv Premiership – Kaizer Chiefs, would have to buy him outright,” Soccer Laduma reported in their latest issue.

“Kwinika’s contract at Stellies is due to expire on June 30, and it is thought that the player was quite eager to explore a possible return to Gauteng,” the report added.

WILL AMAKHOSI PAY THE MONEY OR LOOK ELSEWHERE?

Meanwhile, it remains to be seen if the Cape Winelands club will eventually take the big decision and whether Chiefs will table an offer or look away until Kwinika is available for free next season.
