Real Housewives of Durban (RHOD) stars Jojo Robinson and Slindile “Slee” Wendy Ndlovu got off on the wrong foot in the first episode of the Showmax reality series when they met at Nonku Williams’ home.
While neither party has directly said why there is so much hate between them — with the exception of Slee calling jojo a classist — the situation is intensifying.
In the second episode of RHOD, Jojo confronted Slee regarding a remark she allegedly made to her husband during their first meeting at Nonku’s residence.
Slee has been called the “highlight” of “RHOD.” S3: “She devoured JoJo like a novel.”
Calven Robinson, a Durban tycoon and fitness enthusiast, is married to Jojo.
Calven claims that he met Slee while he was obtaining refreshments at Nonku’s residence. However, Slee apparently informed him that she is unattached and that he should “set her up” with one of his wealthy acquaintances.
“I hadn’t met Slee. She and I exchanged greetings, and Nonku arrived. “And I said, ‘Oh, hi Nonku,’ and Slee turned around and said, ‘Oh, I just told Calven I’m single, and he’s going to find me a rich man,’” the multimillionaire recalled during his confessions.
Calven, who was also relating the event to his wife, mentioned that Slee had stated he would take her to get a tattoo.
He added that Nonku believed Calven would introduce Slee to the tattoo artist. Jojo appears to believe that Slee intended to get a tattoo with Calven alone.
When Jojo and Slee met at the premiere of Sorisha Naidoi’s spa, chaos erupted.
Jojo did not hold back while confronting Slee about her conversation with Calven.
“Why did you feel the need to go to my husband behind my back and imply that you are single and maybe he can find you a wealthy man like him when you were standing on the sidelines? And perhaps he’ll get you a tattoo?” Jojo asked Slee.
The mother of two disputed the allegations and instructed Jojo to phone her husband to put the matter to rest. Jojo informed her, however, that Nonku was present and that she, too, heard her make these remarks.
Nonku, who initially declined to participate, later addressed the problem as she corroborated Calven’s account. However, Slee continued to dispute the allegations.
Jojo stood up and pointed her finger at Slee as she began to scream out at her, while Nonku attempted to mediate between the two parties.
The altercation resulted in Slee’s upset departure from the event early. When Sorisha, who was absent during the altercation, contacted Slee to check on her, the RHOD rookie was in tears. She explained to Sorisha that she went because she did not wish to “throw hands.”
