Shooting incident leaves one dead and one critical in Dunoon

Following a shooting incident on the corner of Potsdam and Usasaza streets in Danoon this afternoon, a man in his late 20s died and a 31-year-old man was critically injured.

The South African Police Services had already roped off the area when ER24 paramedics arrived at 16:15. A man was discovered in the street, lifeless, with multiple gunshot wounds. Unfortunately, there was nothing that could be done for him, and he was pronounced dead when he arrived.

A second man presented himself to the crews – he was found to have suffered two gunshot wounds to the shoulder area and was in a critical condition. He was treated using Advanced Life Support interventions to stabilise his condition before being transported to the hospital for further care.
