Shabs Ahmad urges London Mayor Sadiq Khan to address the recent uptick in violent crime in the city.

TV star Shabs Ahmad has warned Sadiq Khan that he will have ‘blood on’ his ‘hands’ if he does not step in to address the wave of violent crime continuing to hit London.

Mr Ahmad, who starred in the BBC’s hit show Supercar Superfam, made the remark after a man and woman were robbed at knifepoint in broad daylight while they were walking through an upmarket borough of central London.

It is the latest in a spate of attacks to shock the lawless capital this summer.

Video footage taken on Monday shows the female victim lying in a doorway in Pond Place, Chelsea while kicking her legs as an attacker donning a black balaclava and hoodie stands over her.

Her screams billow down the street as a second attacker, also in a black hoodie, repeatedly punches her male companion just yards away.

Responding to the footage that was shared on Instagram, the BBC documentary star addressed the Mayor in a comment on the social media site.

He said: ‘Sadiq Khan are you seeing this s*** mate? And you’re too busy expanding the ULEZ?

‘Sort it out. Like I said before, you will have blood on your hands.

‘This guy could have very easily been stabbed.’

’Shabs Ahmad, a BBC television personality, urged Sadiq Khan, the mayor of London, to “sort out” the city’s violent crime problem, saying the man in the video “could have easily been stabbed.”

“All I’m saying is I believe we all need to be ready for them because ain’t nobody taking my s***,” he said.

No one has been arrested, according to the Met Police, and inquiries are still underway.

This evening, Central West Command Unit Ch Supt Owain Richards said: “This is an awful occurrence; no one should be the target of such intolerable assault.

“Our hardworking Robbery team is looking into it and searching via CCTV.”

We are concentrating our efforts on the hot areas since we have seen an increase in watch robberies.

Social media video is known to the police. Call 101 if you have any information that might assist the police or are a witness.

Since demand rises on Mayor Sadiq Khan to effectively combat the issue of knife crime, which has increased over the last year as the UK entered the Covid crisis, at least four people were stabbed in a dispute on Saturday in south London.

Social media users respond to the most recent stabbing in central London, with some accusing the mayor, Sadiq Khan, while others point the finger to the Tories or even the rising cost of living

Sadiq Khan attributes the high rate of violent crime in London on the poor economy, the weather, and austerity measures.

The cost of living problem, austerity measures, and bad weather, according to Sadiq Khan, are to blame for the recent spike in knife and violent crime in London.

In a statement released last week, he said: “One murder is one murder too many, and one victim of crime is one victim of crime too many, but I feel that over the past six years, austerity has tied one hand behind my back.”

“We’ve lost 21,000 cops, and the government has said that when our population increases, it will replace them with 20,000 officers.”

Because of the government’s decision, “We’ve seen cutbacks in youth workers, youth services, after-school programs, and things councils give, and Londoners are caught in the crossfire.”

After six homicides occurred in the city in less than a week, the mayor spoke to LBC radio last Thursday and blamed “longer daylight hours, school vacations, a heatwave,” and the cost of living problem.

In response to the increase in violence, he said to the radio station: “We have witnessed a lot of terrible killings over the past few days, last week.”

“I’m afraid this summer is turning out to be what we thought it would be—a rise in violent crime. There are more daylight hours, school breaks, a heatwave, and so on.

To put an end to the violence, “We are collaborating with the police.”

Mr. Khan insisted vehemently that the nation’s capital is secure. According to him, gun crime, knife crime, injury from a knife, those under 25 who were hurt by knives, moped crime, and burglary are all down from the previous year, and “teenage killings are down by more than 68%.”

However, Mr. Khan said, “That’s no comfort if you’re a victim of crime or a family who has lost a loved one, which is why I’m committed to make sure that we also make more progress.”

Before the witness cries, “Let go or I’ll call the police,” twice while filming the incident from an upstairs window, an elderly guy can be seen staring on in bewilderment.

The attackers are then seen jumping into the getaway vehicle as an elderly lady enters the scene unexpectedly with a broom.

Male victim makes fruitless attempts to open the front side door.

As the video concludes, the person filming shouts, “We got your number plate.” The video has been seen more than 500,000 times.

For a response, MailOnline has been in touch with the Metropolitan Police.

Users went to the comments underneath the video to express their response to the event, with many ‘blaming’ the Mayor of London for the current wave of violent crimes.

Khan’s London, one person remarked, while another person welcomed visitors to the “crime capital of Europe” by saying, “Welcome to London – thanks to @mayorofLondon.”

“@sadiqkhan this is your London what you doing about it,” said another. [sic].

Others said that the increase in stabbings was brought on by police budget cutbacks.

One person said, “Bloody Sadiq Khan has nothing to do with this.” It has to do with the Tory government’s ongoing, more than ten-year budget cuts to law enforcement.

Others cited the high cost of living, claiming that more individuals are resorting to crime as a result of their increasing desperation.

It follows terrifying video that was captured on Sunday of a criminal trying to steal a Kuwaiti playboy’s Rolex by smashing a £3 million Bugatti Chiron with a hammer while posing as a Deliveroo rider.

Abdullah F. Al Basman, who was targeted while driving in downtown London while sporting a platinum Rolex Daytona watch worth £110,000, is notorious for sharing pictures of his sports vehicles and jewelry.

On camera, a Deliveroo-clad rider can be seen halting in the middle of traffic on Park Lane in Mayfair on Sunday before using a hammer to break the Bugatti Chiron’s glass.

Then, it seems as if they attack the vehicle repeatedly until the hypercar immediately takes off and the robber is unsuccessful in escaping with any goods.

As the robber flees the scene, a second rider, also wearing a Deliveroo suit, follows after them.

According to the Met Police, this incident may have been related to the attack of a 40-year-old man who had his watch taken in Mayfair the same day.

Mr. Al Basman can be seen receiving assistance to exit his damaged sports automobile.

A witness said: ‘The moped thieves were at the hotel this morning and staff told them to get off the pavement.

‘When Abdullah left in the Bugatti they started following him all the way to Hyde Park Corner. One beeped their horn which I assume was the signal to start attacking.

‘I assume they were waiting for a junction they knew would have a long red light so they had time to attack them.’
