Thursday, in response to speculations that she is dating The Chainsmokers’ Drew Taggart, Selena Gomez emphasized on Instagram Story that she is single.
The “Same Old Love” singer captioned a black-and-white photo of the sky behind a mountain range, “I like being alone too much.”
Gomez, 30 years old, added the hashtag #single.
In the gloomy photograph, viewers observed a man’s head in the bottom of the frame, but the consensus was that it did not belong to Taggart due to his thick head of hair.
The former Disney Channel star merely left the post on her Story for a few minutes before removing it.
The confirmation of Gomez’s relationship status comes just days after she and Taggart, 33, were romantically linked.
A source informed Us Weekly on Monday that the “Only Murders in the Building” star and DJ were “having a lot of fun together”
“They are not attempting to conceal their relationship by sneaking around members-only clubs,” the insider added, adding that the couple enjoyed “bowling and the movies.”
Then, Page Six received exclusive photographs of Gomez and Taggart bowling at The Gutter in Brooklyn. During their Sunday outing, a sharp-eyed snitch observed the celebrities flirting and “making out” like adolescents.
It is unclear why Taggart’s ex-girlfriend, model Eve Jobs, deleted her Instagram amid the rumors.
Last summer, the 24-year-old daughter of the late Apple co-founder Steve Jobs began dating Taggart, but their relationship has evidently disintegrated in light of his PDA with Gomez.
Taggart has been candid about his sexual life in general, but he has not given any information on his relationship with Eve or Gomez.
During a recent interview on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast, he and his Chainsmokers bandmate Alex Pall admitted to engaging in several threesomes with fans.
Gomez, for her part, has apparently been available for quite some time.
She dated Justin Bieber intermittently for several years until their final breakup in March 2018, just months before the “Sorry” singer, 28, wed Hailey Bieber. In 2017, she was also in a 10-month relationship with The Weeknd.
Since then, the actress, who has been in relationships with Zedd and Charlie Puth, has kept her dating life private.
Her grandmother did, however, reveal a recent breakup in a TikTok video from July 2022.
