Schoolboy dies after an incident at a travelling fairground in Forrest Family Fair park in Dover

A kid was killed this morning after a “severe incident” at a traveling fairground.

Around 7.45 a.m., emergency personnel were dispatched to the Forrest Family Fair in a park in Dover, Kent.

Police have blocked off the parkland where the fair was being held, and ambulances and firefighters are also on the site.

An inquiry has been begun to determine what happened because the fiar was not scheduled to open until later today.

The fair’s operator, Forrest Amusements, declined to comment to MailOnline.

When asked about local allegations that a group had broken in and been riding before the accident, a representative declined to comment.

The circumstances of the occurrence are now unknown, but South East Coast Ambulance Service stated that a teenage male died at the site.

‘We were called at 7.42am this morning to a major incident at Pencester Gardens in Dover,’ said a spokeswoman.

‘We promptly despatched a number of clinical resources to the incident, including our HART team and Critical Care Paramedics, but regrettably, a teenage male was declared deceased at the scene,’ the statement said.

South East Coast Ambulance Service confirmed that a teenage boy was found deceased at the sceneA road near the park was briefly restricted to traffic, but it has subsequently reopened.

A Kent Police representative confirmed that officers responded to the incident, but no suspicious circumstances were recorded.

The Health and Safety Executive has been made aware of the situation.

A spokesman for Kent Fire and Rescue said the agency had been sent to the area to assist police.
