Savannah Chrisley recalls first seeing dad. Prisoner Todd Chrisley

Savannah Chrisley recounted the “weird” experience of visiting her dad Todd Chrisley in prison for the first time, claiming she was taken aback by his unmaintained hair.

During Tuesday’s episode of her “Unlocked With Savannah Chrisley” podcast, the 25-year-old said she didn’t expect to see that her pops traded out his distinctive blond locks for gray.

“I will say it’s really weird seeing him with gray hair,” she said. “Like, really weird. He’s clearly used some color over the years, and now seeing him with gray hair. I’m like, ‘Oh my gosh!’”

Savannah, who is being left to raise her brother Grayson, 16, and niece Chloe, 10, while her parents Todd and Julie Chrisley serve their individual sentences, said she has “so much hope” for the future after visiting her parents behind bars.

“I never felt the presence of Jesus more than I have in that visiting room,” she added. “Even visiting my dad, like, I know I have so much hope and so much restored strength that I’m like, ‘This isn’t the end.’”

“And I know that they’re going through what they’re going through for us to make a difference, for us to make a change,” she concluded. “Because whether this appeal works or not, they’re still coming out with a story.”

Savannah also addressed her mom’s newfound living conditions, alleging that the prison has better accommodations for assistance dogs than it does for convicts.

“My mom’s in a facility that has no air, but yet, there are service dogs for the prison that are in a heated and cooled building because it’s inhumane for them not to have air,” she added.

“According to an executive order signed by [President Joe] Biden, all federal prisoners must be kept in environmentally friendly facilities. And I’m thinking, “Well, this is the polar opposite of that.”

In November, the Chrisleys were sentenced to a total of 19 years in jail for fraud and tax evasion.

Todd, age 53, started his 12-year term at Federal Prison Camp Pensacola last month, while Julie, age 50, will spend the next seven years two and a half hours away at Federal Correctional Institution and Federal Prison Camp Marianna.

Also, she will serve 16 months on probation after her release from prison.
