Samir Nurkovic reportedly leaving Royal AM two months after signing.

Durban — According to reports, Royal AM is in the process of releasing Samir Nurkovic, who has been given a 30-day notice to seek work elsewhere, just two months into the season.

The 29-year-old center forward joined Thwihli Thwahla from Kaizer Chiefs on a free transfer in July, but has been injured since then.

According to SABC Sports, the team is ready to cut their losses, as Nurkovic has not played a single official match.

According to reports, Shauwn Mkhize, the owner of Royal AM, has given Nurkovic 30 days to quit the club due to him being on “sick leave” and “exhausting” the allotted time to recover.

Nurkovic made his debut for Thwihli Thwahla against Chiefs in the Macufe Cup two weeks ago, although it is believed he had not fully healed from his lengthy injury.

The Pietermaritzburg-based club is experiencing its most turbulent period since joining the “big league” at the start of last season.

Dan ‘Dance’ Malesela is already back with Marumo Gallants just eight games into the season, and coach Khabo Zondo wasn’t on the bench for Tuesday’s 3-1 loss to Supersport United, sparking to rumors that he, too, could be on his way out.
