Spanish cabin employees may strike for five months over salary and conditions, affecting 1.4 million passengers.

The budget airline’s cabin staff is holding weekly walkouts from 8 August to 7 January.

Madrid, Malaga, Barcelona, Alicante, Sevilla, Palma, Valencia, Girona, Santiago de Compostela, and Ibiza may be impacted by industrial action.

The demonstrations follow strikes from July 18-21 and July 25-28.

Customers are outraged over a prospective summer/winter disruption wave.

Ryanair told MailOnline that it anticipates little (if any) impact to flights to/from Spain on days when minority unions USO/SITCPLA strike.

Ryanair has signed a salary, rosters, and allowances deal with the largest Spanish cabin crew union (CCOO).

Less than 1% of Ryanair’s 3,000 daily (100,000/month) flights have been impacted by Spanish cabin staff delays.

Under UK and EU legislation, travellers are entitled to compensation if a flight is cancelled within 14 days.

Flyers will only get a refund if they were advised two weeks in advance.

This month will see three easyJet pilot strikes in Spain.

12-14 August, 19-21 August, and 27-29 August will see industrial action.
