Russian soldier describes being told to kill innocent Ukrainians

A young Russian soldier has publicly admitted to killing residents and looting their goods during the invasion of the country by Vladimir Putin’s army and subsequent resignation.Pictured with other soldiers, he said he had initially sought a way out of Putin's killing machine army but initially to no avail

He further described how his battlefield commanders instructed him and others to commit heinous alleged war crimes on innocent Ukrainians on the orders of his superiors.Frolkin, 21, confessed to media outlets and said his commanders should be prosecuted. He said he realises he could face jail time both for his actions and his confessions

Daniil Frolkin, a 21-year-old Russian soldier who served in the conflict for five months, revealed to journalists from the iStories media: ‘We are purportedly attempting to rescue citizens from Nazism.

However, we slaughter innocents. What is the purpose of sustaining this conflict?

He told journalist Yekaterina Fomina horrifying details of how his leaders informed him, “Those are the ones to be executed.”

So I proceeded to shoot them. The command was issued by Lieutenant Colonel Andrey Prokurat.

In addition to Prokurat, he named Colonel Azatbek Omurbekov, whose men are suspected of using rape as a weapon of war, as the one who issued the order.

“These guys were brought in, and he said, “Take them someplace and execute them.”

They were carrying a large amount of cash: [Ukrainian] hryvnia and dollars. This lieutenant colonel pocketed the cash.

They also handed us their phones and paperwork and instructed us to kill them and destroy their phones and documents.

He described how, initially, he had been unable to escape Putin’s army of murdering machines.

He described how one commander took refrigerators, clothing, and sneakers from Ukraine and sent them in truckloads to the Russian ally Belarus.

He said, “I don’t know who we’re fighting against, but it’s definitely the Ukrainian army.”

“However, they are Slavic people like us, not Nazis….

When we spoke with villagers, they said, “We’ve never had Nazis.”

It was mostly Russian retirees who had relocated to Ukraine, he claimed.

He passionately confessed to reporters, ‘I, a serviceman from military unit 51460, guard corporal Daniil Andreyevich Frolkin, plead guilty to all the atrocities I perpetrated in Andriivka’

This includes the death of citizens, their robbery, and the theft of their mobile phones.

He said that “our [Russian] leaders don’t give a f*** about our men” and committed war crimes to get medals and gratify their commanding officers.

He admits swiping a phone from a Ukrainian and photographing Russian forces entering the country.

This phone was seized after the Russians retreated, and it includes shocking first-hand proof of suspected war crimes committed by Putin’s men.

According to him, Russian leaders affiliated with his 64th Motorized Rifle Brigade had committed war crimes.

According to him, the colonel fabricated successful missions to impress defense officials. He hid in basements while putting his soldiers into danger.

Frolkin said, “When we were at Andreevka, he sat in the basement constantly.”

We were not regarded as individuals; instead, we were forced into battles.

Frolkin, from the Altai area of Siberia, accused Lt. Colonel Denis Romanenko, head of intelligence, of sending his own men to their deaths and sought an investigation into other commanders.

I have to murder one in order to rescue as many as possible. I want to rescue my men.

Frolkin, who is now back in Russia and has resigned from the army, acknowledged that his admissions could land him in jail.

More than 400 disfigured, tortured, and killed bodies were found in Bucharest some days after claims of extensive war crimes in a Kyiv neighborhood as Russian soldiers retreated surfaced.

Due to his claimed crimes, Omurbekov, also known as the “Butcher of Bucha,” was elevated from Lieutenant Colonel to Colonel.

It occurred despite the fact that his forces were accused of group rapes, tortures, and civilian murders.

The unit was redeployed to the eastern Donbas front, one of the most deadly in the fighting, shortly after earning recognition. I have to murder one in order to rescue as many as possible. I want to rescue my men.
