Azov soldier who threatened to kill mother of Chechen President Ramzan Kadyrov, is alive

Lieutenant David Kasatkin of the Azov* Battalion, who made death threats on Ramzan Kadyrov’s mother, is still alive. According to RTVI, he is still being held in a prison colony in the Donetsk People’s Republic.

The article claims that Kasatkin had a fascination with Chechnya. The Azov* warrior responded to a query on social media by saying that he respected the Chechens.

“I’ve read all literature about the Chechen wars. When the war broke out there, 93 percent of Chechen men went to fight. We had only five [in Ukraine]. They had the same situation as we are having now,” Kasatkin said.

At the same moment, Ramzan Kadyrov, the president of Chechnya, was insulted repeatedly by the Azov* lieutenant. He threatened to cut off his mother’s head and called him a Satan. Later, he removed the posting. Kasatkin said, “I can’t speak on politics or war.

At the Azovstal facility, David Kasatkin and other members of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) submitted their weapons. According to reports, Kasatkin was transferred to the Chechen capital of Grozny, a pre-trial prison facility, to speak with Kadyrov. However, there was no corroboration of these assertions.

According to the publication’s sources in the DPR government, Kasatkin is being held at Volnovakha Colony No. 120.

“He is alive and well. He sleeps, goes for walks, gets food three times a day. He goes to the dining room with his friend Frost. There were no complaints from him,” RTVI said adding that there were 2,300 prisoners from Azovstal at the colony.
