Russian recruits demand £4,200 for their families before going to Ukraine

More than 100 Russians who had been mobilized refused to go to the front lines to battle Ukraine, according to video evidence of the mutiny that broke out in Ulyanovsk.

The reason for the uprising, according to Vladimir Putin’s authorities, was that £4,200 in ‘promised’ payments was not made to the soldiers’ families in the destitute Chuvashia area.

Prior to that, a female military officer was spotted arguing with the men in uniform, and there were rumors that the national guard and OMON riot police had been brought in to put an end to the disobedience.

Guys, I didn’t guarantee you 300,000 [roubles], the officer says.

It’s obvious – we were f***ing duped, one of the mutineers added.

According to reports, the event happened after an earlier effort by army leaders to appease the enraged recruits failed.

Prior to being sent to the front, the military battalion was receiving training in Ulyanovsk.

The Ukrainian General Staff has previously claimed that Russian private military firms were enlisting prisoners from local jails to engage in the conflict.

The call-up is being criticized for sending soldiers to the front as cannon fodder, but many have been seduced by promises of salary that is far greater than their normal wages.

One enlisted reservist in the mutiny, incensed that money would not reach his family, said, “I came here from Moscow.” Because the President made an appeal to us all, this is the Motherland.

According to him, the military commissar informed him, “As soon as you arrive there, there will be a one-time payment of 300,000 roubles [£4,200] within two, three days…” when he went to the recruitment office.

The money was never delivered despite being intended for their relatives in the underdeveloped Chuvashia area.

Angry guys can be heard yelling, “Who deceived us?”

Others chimed in with “It’s hopeless,” followed by “Why are we even here?”

The female military commander informs the group that the Communist Party’s draft legislation including the offer of an early payment was not approved.

A retort from a recruit reads, “They could return their party IDs and depart themselves then.”

It’s at this point that a male can be heard stating, “It’s obvious we were f***ing duped.”

In a another video, we see what seem to be the same troops yelling in the streets at night.

“Dear Russian Federation people, the Chuvash Republic’s mobilized soldiers plead to you!”

We are willing to sacrifice our lives in order for you to live in safety and tranquility!

Another number for the amount they had not been paid appeared in an open letter from the guys.

“Our state is refusing to give us the 195,000 [£2,750] roubles that President Vladimir Putin promised!

“So why would we go to battle for this state, abandoning our families?”

We will pursue justice until our government, led by the President of the Russian Federation, pays us the money we were promised and refuse to take part in the Special Military Operation!

Unverified sources claim that Putin’s army put an end to the rebellion.
