After a weekend of celebration and ceremony for the Coronation, the Royal Family resumed their regular duties.
King Charles III went on a visit to the University of Cambridge to break ground at the new Whittle laboratory and meet with university staff and aviation industry leaders.
The Queen and King are expected to recover from the busy weekend at Sandringham for the rest of the week.
Prince and Princess of Wales hosted a garden party at Buckingham Palace, while the Duchess of Edinburgh visited Morden College, and Prince Edward attended a dinner at Stonehage Fleming.
The Royal Children’s Volunteering:
As part of the national volunteering drive to mark the Coronation, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis helped out at a Scout hut in Slough.
Edward and Sophie helped at a puppy class for trainee guide dogs in Reading, while the Princess Royal attended a county civic service recognizing local volunteers in Gloucester Cathedral.
Many students from London continued volunteering activities the next day.
King and Queen’s Dedication to Service:
As the Coronation festivities came to a close, the King and Queen pledged to rededicate their lives to service.
In a special Coronation message, the King expressed gratitude for the nation’s support throughout the historic celebrations and pledged to serve the people of the United Kingdom, the Realms, and Commonwealth.

Traditional official portraits marking the crowning of Charles III and Queen Camilla were also released to round off the monarchy’s landmark occasion.
The working royal family was also photographed standing with the King and Queen.
King’s Visit to Cambridge:
The King was set to attend a discussion on pathways to a sustainable aviation industry as part of his visit to Cambridge University’s Whittle Laboratory, which has won £58million of funding for its net zero aviation and energy projects.
Upcoming Royal Schedule:
After the King’s break at Sandringham, he is expected to have a busy schedule in the run-up to summer, including the annual Order of the Garter ceremony and an expected short state visit abroad.
The Queen’s Reading Room charity will also stage its inaugural literary festival in June at Hampton Court Palace.
