Police probing sexual assault charges against the controversial social media celebrity Andrew Tate and his brother have conducted more raids throughout Romania.
In a series of raids around Bucharest and the rest of Romania, the police recovered documents and computer equipment from a number of properties believed to be associated with Tate and his brother Tristan.
Following their arrest last month, the British consul is claimed to have visited the brothers in the prison where they are being kept.
They were arrested as part of a massive investigation into allegations that Luton-born Tate and his brother had trafficked and raped multiple women as part of an organized criminal empire.

The Directorate for the Investigation of Organized Crime and Terrorism issued the following statement: ‘This morning, the prosecutors of DIICOT – Central Structure, in the continuation of their investigation into the commission of the crimes of forming an organized criminal group, human trafficking, and rape, executed seven home search warrants within the municipal boundaries of Bucharest, Ilfov, and Prahova counties.
“Judicial activities are conducted alongside police officers from BCCO Bucharest and SCCO Ilfov.”
“We make it clear that throughout the entire criminal process, the persons under investigation enjoy the procedural rights and guarantees provided by the Code of Criminal Procedure, as well as the presumption of innocence.”
Vlad Obu, a Romanian kickboxer and cage fighter, had his residence searched, and documents and laptops were seized and taken.
Tate was apprehended on December 29 after police stormed his hideout on the outskirts of Bucharest 
Before his arrest, his social media posts displayed the high-tech security of his concrete enclosure.
In the meantime, MailOnline can reveal that one of the two ladies called Tate’s Angels and detained at the same time has been granted compassionate release.
Former police officer Luana Radu, 32, has been granted a three-hour license so that she may attend her grandmother’s burial in Bucharest on Thursday evening.
She left the force eight years ago to focus on sex video chat room job alongside Georgiana Naghel, 28, and according to investigators, both had a role in “coerce” and “control” other women involved in the business.
Tate, a British-American citizen with 4.5 million Twitter followers, was arrested in Bucharest on December 29 alongside his brother Tristan and two Romanian ladies.
Tuesday, a court confirmed the 30 December decision of a judge to prolong their detention from 24 hours to 30 days.
In a separate hearing on Wednesday at the Bucharest Tribunal, Tate lost an appeal challenging the seizure of properties and a fleet of luxury vehicles by prosecutors, according to Ramona Bolla, a spokesperson for the Romanian anti-organized crime agency DIICOT.
She told The Associated Press that the court “decided that the seizures are legal and that the goods remain at our disposal.”
Prosecutors probing the matter have so far confiscated 15 expensive automobiles – 11 in December raids and 4 last week – at least seven of which belong to the Tate brothers, as well as more than ten houses and parcels of land owned by corporations connected to them.
At least seven of the 15 expensive vehicles seized by prosecutors investigating this case were owned by the Tate brothers.
Bolla stated that it is unclear whether any assets seized since December were included in the appeal filed on Wednesday.
Bolla stated that the Tates’ assets might be utilized to cover the costs of the inquiry and to compensate the victims if prosecutors can prove the Tates profited from human trafficking.
Before Wednesday’s court ruling, one of Tate’s attorneys, Constantin Gliga, warned the media that the asset seizures are disproportionate to the charges.
The DIICOT has identified six victims of human trafficking who were exposed to “acts of physical violence and mental coercion” and sexual exploitation by members of the suspected criminal organization.
The agency asserted that victims were enticed by pretexts of love, then threatened, held under surveillance, and subjected to other forms of control in order to coerce them into performing in pornographic works that were designed to generate profit for their accused persecutors.
Tate, a former professional kickboxer who has apparently resided in Romania since 2017 for promoting misogynistic ideas and hate speech, was previously banned from several significant social media networks.
