Lindile Xoko, the chief executive officer of Primedia Broadcasting, has revealed that sportscaster Robert Marawa has signed a contract with 947, allowing his sports program Marawa Sports Worldwide (MSW) to air on the station.

Robert Marawa highlighted in an interview with Primedia that his transfer to 947 is both historic and thrilling, as it will increase his Marawa Sports Worldwide fan base’s exposure.
“My move to Primedia is both historic and exciting for all MSW fans, particularly Gauteng residents who have been complaining about being left out,” said Marawa.
“I’m thankful to Arena and Primedia for their forward-thinking vision in creating what will now be four distinct platforms, thereby making radio history with this unprecedented simulcast offering. We are increasing the bar for sports enthusiasts in South Africa and beyond with this move. Professionally speaking, this is the pinnacle of my broadcasting career.”
On Wednesday, February 1 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., 947 listeners can catch Marawa’s sports commentary.
Robert Marawa’s sports program Marawa Sports Worldwide will air daily at 6 p.m. on 947 and will also be syndicated on SowetanLIVE, Vuma FM, and Rise FM.
