Queensland juvenile crime wave victims are identified and calls for tougher action

Eleven regular citizens who reportedly perished at the hands of young criminals in the last two years represent the most terrible faces of Queensland’s youth crime issue.

Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has been obliged to introduce additional measures as a result of the state’s increasing crime wave, including making breach of bond an offense for young people once again after dropping the charge in 2015 and refusing a call for its reinstatement afterwards.

Along with higher punishments for people who brag about their crimes on social media, maximum terms for crimes committed at night and offenses involving stolen automobiles will also be raised.

The contentious adjustment follows a string of high-profile killings involving juvenile criminals, mainly in the state’s southeast, as well as persistent vehicle thefts and house invasions in Townsville, Cairns, and Mount Isa.

Community organizations have urged more action and recalled the mothers, dads, and teens who have already suffered as a result of the crimewave.

These are eleven unfortunate cases when improvements were implemented after the fact.
