Due to a natural disaster, tens of millions of people have been displaced in a South Asian nation.

The Queen stated that she is “very grieved” by the flooding in Pakistan, which has killed over a thousand people and displaced tens of millions.

In a letter to Pakistan’s president this morning, the 96-year-old queen underlined that the United Kingdom “stands in solidarity” with Pakistan.

She stated, “I am heartbroken to learn of the horrific loss of life and devastation caused by the floods in Pakistan.

My sympathies are with all those who have been affected, as well as those working in challenging conditions to aid in the recovery operations.

In a letter to the country’s president, the Queen expressed the United Kingdom’s’solidarity’ with Pakistan in the wake of devastating flooding that has claimed the lives of thousands.

“Britain stands in sympathy with Pakistan as you recover from these dreadful events,”

Pakistan’s foreign minister described the catastrophic floods as “a disaster of a scale that I have never witnessed before.”

Today, the death toll surpassed 1,000, and an area the size of Britain was threatened with inundation.

Tens of millions of Pakistanis have been forced to from their homes as entire villages have vanished; dramatic film shows hotel collapses, helicopter rescues, and tight escapes.

Foreign minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari stated this morning from his residence in the flood-ravaged province of Sindh in the southeast of Pakistan, “All I see is water, water, and more water.” There is little available dry land.’
