Russian President Vladimir Putin is reportedly planning to give a diamond-studded crown to his alleged mistress, Olympic gold medalist Alina Kabaeva, on her 40th birthday next week.
Kabaeva, known as Russia’s most flexible woman, has been linked to Putin since 2008, and is rumoured to have given birth to at least two of Putin’s children.
The General SVR Telegram channel, which claims to be run by a Kremlin insider, reported that Putin will give Kabaeva a “diadem of gold and platinum” with 40 large diamonds, including a “ten-carat black diamond”.
Luxurious Life
Despite Russia’s economic woes, Putin is allegedly still willing to spend lavishly on Kabaeva.
Russian media reports have suggested that the pair live together in several luxurious residences, including a clifftop palace in Gelendzhik worth £1bn and a forest retreat in Valdai.
Putin has never admitted to his relationship with Kabaeva, who has also been seen wearing a wedding ring.
