In his headline performance to end Glastonbury 2022, Kendrick Lamar repeatedly chanted, “Godspeed for women’s rights,” while donning an 8,000-diamond crown of thorns.

He then stormed off the Pyramid Stage in protest of the US Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade and roll back statutory abortion rights.

A number of performers at the British music festival, including Billie Eilish on Friday, Lily Allen and Olivia Rodrigo on Saturday, and Lorde yesterday, protested the decision in Washington on Friday.

The Pulitzer Prize-winning west coast rapper, 35, was among them.

Lamar, a Christian, made sure his festival debut would be remembered by performing a variety of his greatest hits alongside expertly choreographed dancers.

He debuted his new track, Saviour, before the theatrical conclusion of the event, adding that the song’s theme is that “imperfection is beautiful” and that people shouldn’t lose sight of others’ humanity.

Additionally, he claimed that the song expresses his own views on religion, the BLM movement, and Covid conspiracies.

When the lights came on, it was seen that a crown of thorns was dripping fake blood down his face. Lamar, who has previously been outspoken about his Christian faith, explained the meaning of the crown of thorns before beginning the song.

It represented Christ and his own shortcomings.

According to British Vogue, the crown that crowned his head was reportedly crafted by Tiffany and Co. and has 8000 diamonds.

He advocated for women’s rights in opposition to the US Supreme Court’s recent ruling ending the nation’s fundamental right to abortion.

Over the course of the weekend, a number of singers, including Lorde, Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo, Idles, and Phoebe Bridgers, utilized their platforms at Glastonbury to express their opposition to the 1973 Roe v. Wade landmark decision.

Janelle Monáe and Green Day both staged demonstrations during performances, one of which took place Friday night at the BET Awards in Los Angeles.

As he sang the song, artificial blood continuously ran down his face and white shirt as the words “You Saviour I Am Not” flashed on the screens behind him.

Fireworks broke out across the stage as he yelled, “They judge you, they judge Christ,” over and over as his dancers surrounded him. Before departing the stage, I said “Godspeed for women’s rights.”

In response to the US Supreme Court’s decision to repeal Roe v. Wade, Olivia Rodrigo invited special guest Lily Allen on stage during her Glastonbury performance on Saturday to sing Lily’s 2009 single F**k You.

American singer Olivia, 19, spoke on The Other Stage at Worthy Farm and expressed her “devastation and terror” over the decision that ended the US constitution’s protection of the right to an abortion, allowing individual states to decide whether to outlaw the procedure.

During a Friday night concert in London, Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong yelled “f**k America” and declared he was “renouncing his citizenship,” adding, “There’s too much f***ing idiocy in the world.”

Olivia said, “I’m horrified and terrified [by the decision], and so many women and girls are going to die as a result. I wanted to dedicate this next song to the five Supreme Court members who ultimately shown to us that they genuinely don’t care about freedom.”

Olivia continued by addressing each Supreme Court justice in turn, saying: “This song goes out to the justices Samuel Alito, Clarence Thomas, Neil Gorsuch, Amy Coney Barrett, and Brett Kavanaugh.” Her remarks were met with thunderous ovation from the audience.

While on stage, Lily, a fellow pop artist, was spotted giving the middle finger and yelling, “We hate you guys!” before the duo started singing the profanity-filled song.

As she began her performance on the Pyramid Stage on Sunday, Lorde yelled, “F**k the Supreme Court,” before welcoming the audience to melancholy and added, “Welcome to misery.” Up until you face it, the temperature is intolerable.

Want to learn something girls? Since before you were even born, your bodies were intended to be manipulated and objectified.

You were born into that nightmare. Here’s a different secret, though. You are a strong person. You were born with that knowledge as well.

“I ask you today to make using that wisdom your life’s job since it is essential to everything.” The Supreme Court is a joke.

By choosing to overrule the important 1973 Roe v. Wade decision and give back control to individual states to decide whether or not to legalize the practice, the Supreme Court abolished constitutional safeguards for abortion that had been in place for almost 50 years.

The Supreme Court ruled that the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision, which permitted abortions between 24 and 28 weeks of pregnancy before a fetus would be viable outside the womb, was incorrect because the U.S. Constitution does not specifically address the right to an abortion.

The decision implies that each state will now be able to determine whether to outlaw abortion. According to the pro-choice research organization Guttmacher Institute, 26 states are ‘certain or likely’ to outlaw abortion at this time.

Due to the ruling, women in huge swaths of America will now have to decide between going to a different state where the procedure is still permitted and legal, purchasing abortion pills online, or getting a potentially risky illegal abortion.

In a speech at the White House, President Joe Biden referred to the Supreme Court’s decision to reverse Roe v. Wade and make abortions illegal for millions of American women as “wrong, extreme, and out of touch” and said it was “a sad day for the court and the country.”

Biden declared that the fight for abortion rights “is not over” and that his administration would use all of its resources to fight attempts to prevent women from traveling to other states for abortions.

He accused the court of “expressly taking away a constitution right that is so fundamental to so many Americans.”

Following the US Supreme Court’s ruling, Billie Eilish said it was a “sad day for women” when she performed at the Pyramid Stage on Friday.

After acknowledging that she had a “very [crap] day” after learning of the decision, Billie swore at the “old” Supreme Court justices “who attempt to tell us what to do with our bodies.”

During her performance on Saturday, Olivia sported a lavender and white bra top with a black, gold, and purple miniskirt that exposed her stomach.

Olivia, the singer of the famous song “Driver’s License,” worked the crowd into a frenzy as she leapt about the stage while donning a pair of black fishnet stockings and some chunky-soled leather boots.

She wore several layers of makeup to accentuate her attractive facial features and a pair of half-length detachable sleeves made of the same fabric as her skirt.

Olivia, a pop diva, was wearing a shirt with a plunging neckline and wraparound ribbons of cloth that hung to her front.

She donned a sparkling gold statement necklace and a dress with a keyhole accent in the front.

The celebrity was spotted performing on stage with her band behind her, waving her long brown hair in the air and grinning.

She played the piano while sitting for some songs and perched on top for others to perform for her followers.

Celeste, a 28-year-old fellow singer who also performed at the festival, looked beautiful in a white dress and matching gloves.

Her bare upper arms and shoulders were left out in the open, and her dress had a low-cut Bardot neckline.

When she performed at the festival on the West Holts Stage, she had a cool spiked hairstyle.

The celebrity donned a lot of heavy eye makeup and a set of statement earrings with big emerald hoops.

Meanwhile, the dynamic Haim, comprised of sisters Este, Danielle, and Alana Haim, played on the renowned Pyramid Stage.

Lead singer Danielle, 33, performed outside while sporting a black bikini top and a pair of tough leather pants.

During the show, which gathered sizable numbers, her sister Alana made an excellent effort by playing the drums.

Following the Supreme Court’s decision to strike down federal abortion regulations, Green Day singer Billie Joe Armstrong yelled “f**k America” and that he was “renouncing his citizenship.”

There is too much f***ing foolishness in the world, said 50-year-old Armstrong to the crowd during a Friday night gig in London.

He also announced to the crowd that he will be relocating to the UK, which was welcomed with thunderous acclaim.

In the wake of the conservative-majority Supreme Court’s decision to reverse the historic 1973 ruling Roe v. Wade, which determined that abortion fell under the constitutional right to privacy, protests broke out across the country at the time of Armstrong’s statements.

The American Idiot hitmaker has frequently protested politicians and claimed injustices using his musical platform.

He played in front of a background that said “f**k Ted Cruz” at a gig earlier this month in an effort to criticize the Republican senator from Texas.

Prior to that, he blasted former President Donald Trump for “keeping half the country hostage” and spent an entire album to denouncing former President George W. Bush and the Iraq War.

In addition to supporting President Joe Biden, Armstrong is said to have submitted paperwork to run as a Republican in the 2024 presidential race last year.

I hate America. I’m surrendering my citizenship like a f***. Armstrong announced to the London Stadium crowd on Friday night, “I’m f**king coming here.”

To return to that terrible f***ing excuse for a country, there is simply too much stupidity in the globe.

Oh, I’m not kidding, you’re going to hear a lot from me in the coming days, he continued.

At his performance in Huddersfield, England, on Saturday night, the musician’s political protest persisted.

Before playing American Idiot, which the band has previously claimed was composed out of rage over not being represented by national leadership, concertgoers claim he encouraged the crowd to “f**k the Supreme Court of America.”

During his rendition of Hitchin’ a Ride, he allegedly labeled the justices “pr**ks.”

Social media users flooded in to defend Armstrong after his anti-American statement.

One TikTok member commented, “I will help you pack, just tell me when.”

If @billiejoe’s remark that “F**k America” was sincere. The American Supreme Courts are garbage. I’m relocating to England,” a Twitter user echoed. “He’d never have to buy another drink… ever.” “Sir, the North of England is waiting for you.”

Another person chimed on, “Billie Joe Armstrong doesn’t want to be an American idiot.”

‘Green Day opened with America Idiot, which was expected, but the words seem eerily suitable again,’ one concertgoer remarked.

When Trump was elected—a man he openly despises—Billie Joe Armstrong was in London. Roe collapses now that he’s in London? one more said. Armstrong: “Back to the States. The Supreme Court and the government are obviously terrified of you. Come on, go home.

Don’t make fun of us like the other liberal idiots, please. One individual wrote, “Do it!”

Some locals who said that conditions weren’t much better in the UK received the rock star with mistrust as well.

One person wrote, “Out of the frying pan and into the fire! If ‘here’ is the U.K. I wouldn’t bother.”

Another said, referring to Prime Minister Boris Johnson, “Wait til someone tells him about Boris.”

ILY Billy, but you don’t want to be here, said another.

As disorderly protests broke out across the United States, Armstrong made his speech. To protest the repeal of Roe v. Wade, thousands of ardent protesters flocked to the streets on Friday and Saturday across the country.

A Republican-backed Mississippi law that outlaws abortion after 15 weeks of pregnancy was upheld by the Supreme Court on Friday in a 6-3 decision, overturning the historic 1973 decision.

The Mississippi law was maintained by a 5-4 vote, with conservative Chief Justice John Roberts writing separately to suggest he would not have gone so far as to completely invalidate the Roe precedent.

The decision restored states’ right to outlaw abortion. 26 states are either certain to outlaw abortion or are thought to be likely to do so.

Due to carefully created “trigger legislation” intended to instantly criminalize terminations in the event that Roe was reversed, abortion became illegal in 13 U.S. states as soon as it was overturned.

After historic legislation overruled by the 1973 Roe decision automatically went back into effect on Friday, five other states outlawed abortions.

The decision sparked outrage across the country, with many Democrats claiming it gives American women “fewer rights than their grandmothers.”

During riots outside the Arizona state capitol building, pro-choice protestors were tear gassed; scores were also detained in New York City and Los Angeles.

After Roe v. Wade was overturned, pro-abortion demonstrators surrounded the Arizona Capitol building on Friday night, forcing riot police to use tear gas to separate the enraged mob.

Just moments after the SCOTUS decided to overturn Roe, hundreds of irate demonstrators gathered outside the Supreme Court building in Washington, D.C. on Friday.

A worried father who had “a very, very, very strong emotional reaction” to the decision also scaled the city’s Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge and sat atop one of its 70-foot arches.

Before the protester exited the arch Saturday afternoon and was taken into custody, the bridge had been closed for about 28 hours.

In the meantime, women are threatening to avoid having sex with men and are urging all American women to take part in “sex strikes” on social media.

Apart from a pickup truck that plowed into a crowd of protesters in Cedar Rapids, running over a woman’s foot, most of the Roe demonstrations had, as of Sunday, been peaceful.

Additionally, on Saturday night in Portland, Oregon, a group of demonstrators destroyed multiple buildings and broke glass.
