According to a new source, Vladimir Putin is concerned that numerous of his aides and senior political backers have begun drinking excessively since he launched his war on Ukraine.
Putin is particularly upset by the excessive drinking of ‘some members of his inner circle,’ according to the Russian independent media outlet Meduza, as Kremlin elites grab for the bottle in vain attempts to ease their emotions.
Since February, people have been alleviating stress in this manner, according to a source within the Kremlin.
“Ministers, their subordinates, and even some deputy prime ministers, members of the presidential administration and Security Council, state firm CEOs, and governors [have began drinking more],”
It is said that senior officials are turning bottle to such a degree that discipline has broken down, with some officials slurring their words in public and being late to critical events.
Independent Russian-Latvian news organization Meduza said that Russian President Vladimir Putin (seen at a Kremlin reception) is concerned about excessive drinking among his aides and senior political allies.

Putin feels the bureaucracy should have an easier time coping with the domestic damage brought on by Russia’s war in Ukraine and the subsequent sanctions, as explained by Meduza.
Putin did not inform a significant number of senior officials of his intention to launch a massive invasion of Ukraine in February.
Apparently, many viewed the strategy as absurdly foolish.
The coming months were spent in “shock and disorientation.”
They turned to bottle [in February]. And some of them have no intention of stopping,’ stated one source.
“Discipline has begun to deteriorate… Some [officials] have neglected to attend crucial occasions.
Others have slurred their speech and spoken incoherent things in official circumstances.
The general populace has already begun to take notice.

Putin expressed his ire over the drinking by lecturing two unaware regional governors on the need to combat alcoholism.
Putin instructed the governor of Vladimir region, Alexander Avdeyev, via video link to address the territory’s “increasing fight with alcoholism.”

However, he expressed his indignation over the drinking by lecturing two unaware regional governors on the necessity to combat alcoholism in their territories.
Putin was alerting his subordinates to the issue, despite the fact that neither governor thought alcoholism to be rife in his or her constituency.
Putin instructed the Vladimir region’s governor, Alexander Avdeyev, via video link to address the region’s “increasing fight with alcoholism.”
Putin instructed, “You cannot restrict anything, you cannot raise prices unnecessarily, and you cannot impose excise taxes.”
Instead, men should be the target of “healthy lifestyle marketing.”
The perplexed regional administrator was instructed to “create facilities for people to exercise and give cultural institutions the respect they deserve.”
Alexander Sokolov, acting governor of Kirov region, was one of two regional governors reprimanded by Putin for “alcoholism” in their respective constituencies.

In his region, Sokolov was cautioned of the “high degree of alcoholism among the populace.”
Putin told Sokolov, ‘Now is not the time to push things under the rug or attempt to whitewash anything; now is the moment to address our most important issues.’

According to reports, both governors were “puzzled” that Putin had brought up the issue.
Two Kremlin officials told Meduza that Russian military setbacks in Ukraine were not the only cause for Putin’s entourage’s frequent drinking.
One said, “They have their own war and their own [personal] concerns.”
